Northern Beaches, Sydney – Johnson Bros Marine Services is proud to announce its partnership with Suzuki Marine as part of the Suzuki Clean Ocean Project, a global initiative aimed at reducing plastic waste and protecting our marine environments.
The recent local clean-up event, held along the Pittwater foreshore, marked a significant step in promoting environmental responsibility in the Northern Beaches boating community.
The Suzuki Clean Ocean Project is a global campaign launched by Suzuki Marine with three core goals:
As an authorised Suzuki Marine dealer and service centre, Johnson Bros Marine Services was proud to lead the initiative locally and help bring attention to the impact of plastic pollution on our waterways.
The clean-up event saw an incredible turnout with over 50 volunteers including local residents, families, boating enthusiasts, and Marine Rescue NSW volunteers. Participants came together to remove litter, debris, and plastic waste from the shores of Pittwater and surrounding areas.
“It was fantastic to see our local community come together to protect the waters we all enjoy,” said Ben Johnson from Johnson Bros Marine Services. “Clean water is essential not just for boating, but for marine life, local tourism, and future generations.”
Following the clean-up, participants were treated to a free community BBQ, with guest speakers from Suzuki Marine Australia, local environmental groups, and Johnson Bros Marine Services sharing insights into sustainable boating practices and the importance of ongoing environmental stewardship.
This event is just one of many initiatives Johnson Bros Marine Services is taking to lead sustainable marine practices in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. As a business that services and supports the local boating community, Johnson Bros understands the importance of preserving the waterways we all rely on.
“As boat mechanics and marine professionals, we have a responsibility to go beyond just servicing boats. We want to help protect the environment our customers enjoy every weekend,” says Matt.
Johnson Bros Marine Services plans to continue participating in the Suzuki Clean Ocean Project and will be hosting more waterfront clean-up days in the near future. Boaters, fishers, families, and eco-conscious locals are encouraged to join.
